FAQ & Troubleshooting

Quick answers about sources, credits, privacy, exports, and where to get help.

Which sources can I use?

VodClip supports the source types shown in Create a clip. For local files, use MP4, WebM, or MOV up to 5 GiB. Provider availability can vary, especially for private, restricted, or removed videos.

Where do I see the cost?

VodClip shows an estimate before a credit-consuming processing or server-render action. Check the estimate in the confirmation UI, and use Billing for your current balance and plan.

Are my clips public by default?

No. A clip must be explicitly marked public before it can appear in Explore or on your public profile. Publishing to a social platform is a separate action.

Why cannot I play a preview?

A clip can be ready while a preview image is unavailable. VodClip labels that state as Preview image unavailable while keeping the actual video player available. Open the clip in the editor or check the job status if you need to investigate further.

A source or job failed. What should I do?

Read the status message first. Check the link, ownership prompt, source accessibility, and file type. Retry only when the product indicates that retrying is appropriate; use the original upload if a provider link remains unavailable.

Where can I learn a specific page?

Use the visible Help button inside the app. It links to the relevant guide for the page you are on, and some workflows include an optional short in-product tour.
