This Privacy Policy explains how VodClip ("VodClip", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information about you when you use our website, Chrome extension, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you subscribe, payment processing details are handled by our payment provider (Dodo Payments) and are not stored on our servers.
  • Content you submit: The VOD URLs you submit for processing, your clip library, captions, and export preferences.
  • Communications: Information you send to us directly, such as support requests or DMCA takedown submissions.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, processing minutes consumed, and browser type, collected through standard analytics.
  • Extension data: When you use the Chrome extension, we may collect the Twitch or Kick pages you interact with and your clip activity, solely to provide the extension's features.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including processing VODs into clips.

  • Enforce our Terms of Service and protect the security of the Service.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

We process personal information on the following legal bases, where applicable:

  • Contract: Processing is necessary to perform our agreement with you (providing the Service).
  • Legitimate interests: Improving the Service, ensuring security, and preventing fraud.
  • Consent: Where you have explicitly agreed, such as for marketing communications.
